The Application Development to Promote Learning of the Historical Tourism Sites following the Trace of King Rama V in Songkhla Province
Abstract
The application development to promote learning of the historical tourism sites following the trace of King Rama V in Songkhla province aims to promote learning of the public relations media of historical tourist destinations retracing the King Rama V in Malay Peninsula in Rattanakosin Era 107, 108, 109, 117, 119, 120, 124 and 128 via mobile devices. The contents of this study consist of 3 main parts: 1) King Rama V’s biography, multifarious duties, royal seal and the places visited in each time, 2) the information concerning the location of the places, the history of the places and the routes of King Rama V’s trips and 3) the map showing the places visited by King Rama V and Thai audio description involving the places. In addition, the location in each place can connect via Google Maps and can share Facebook, Twitter, Email and SMS. According to system evaluation by using the satisfaction assessment questionnaire in 3 aspects; content, design and system management, and application utilization, it shows that the average of the aspects is 4.68, 4.57 and 4.69 respectively. In terms of the standard deviation is 0.50, 0.60 and 0.49 respectively. Therefore, the overall of satisfaction assessment is at high level with an average is 4.64, the standard deviation is 0.54.
