Abstract

The study on diversity of phytoplankton in Bang Phra reservoir in Chonburi Province was conductted for            a period of one year. Five collections with 10 stations were collectted on February, July, October, December 2015 and February 2016 using plankton mesh net size 25 µm. Phytoplankton consisted of Cyanophyta, Chlorophyta, Bacillariophyta, Pyrrophyta and Euglynophyta.  Chlorophyta was the most diverse, 16 species. Microcystis aeruginosa Kützing and Aulacoseira granulate (Ehrenberg) Simonsen were dominated species. Zooplankton studied on Rotifera, Cladocera, Calanoida and Cyclopoida were found 41 species. Overall water quality reported on pH (7 to 8.55), conductivity (145 to 241.7 µS/cm.), D.O.(2.3 to 7.08 mg./l.), nitrate (0.008 to 0.61 mg./l.), and phosphate. (0.008 to 0.04 mg./l.).Keywords :   diversity, zooplankton,  phytoplankton, Bang Phra reservoir
